in the electric class

last monday, a new lecturer that has just finished her studies in UK enter our class for the first time,

the lecture today is about power circuit,

in the middle of the lecture, i had to go to the toilet.

upon entering the class, she is in the middle of giving us some advice, her speech is about istighfar,

she said:

'when do we usually said istighfar? astaghfirullahal'azim, yes, usually when we ask for repentance from ALLAH, when we see or do some sin. but do you know, istighfar also gives us rezeki??
rezeki not just in money, but in health, time, and knowledge, as ALLAH said in surah hud verse 52:

"And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!"

skies pouring abundant of rain, usually term also as rezeki, because rain usually brings rezeki along"

she also told the story of Imam Ahmad and a baker, which is very moving and inspired.

and then she ends her story by saying that :

"i know some of you find my story is boring and does not have any relations with what we learn today, but as a muslim, its my responsibility to share what i know , and by sharing about istighfar today i have  done a part of me as daie and your lecturer."

then she continue the lecture about power circuit.

i admire her, she has done the right thing. she gave me a lot of knowledge that day.

Antara ciri2 al 'ijab bil nafsi (terpesona/kagum dgn diri sendiri) adalah:
1- Menonjolkan kebaikan diri dgn memuji dirinya.
2- Enggan/mengelakkan diri dari menerima nasihat.
3- Rasa GEMBIRA apabila mendengar kelemahan/keaiban org lain terutama yg berlaku di kalangan rakan/kenalan nya (hati "wangi" sungguh jenis manusia yg ni)

Moral:Selalulah mengingati HAKIKAT kejadian dan kematian manusia,hakikat alam dunia dan alam akhirat..Serta menghayati nikmat2 Allah yg kamu tdk akan mampu menghitungnya..Carilah insan yg pernah kamu khianati dan mohon lah kemaafan kpdnya dan keampunan Allah.

 when i read this i felt sinned, because i think that i'm one of the 'ijab bil nafsi person.

astaghfirullah, i almost cry. 

i ask forgiveness from ALLAH from all my wrongdoings.
